Education and Faith Formation Awards
Our Catholic Foundation awarded $61,650 through its 2020 spring grant cycle. Competitive grants are opportunities for parishes and Catholic schools to seek financial assistance with their outreach and educational initiatives. Twelve grants were awarded so far this year. All will have a positive impact on our Catholic community – now and in the future.
Funding technology to be used in faith formation and Catholic education efforts is one example of the type of grants awarded by the Foundation. Faith Formation awards this spring included a grant to help Holy Rosary Parish in Erie purchase an engaging outdoor sign. Education grants included funding to support Mercyhurst Preparatory School's purchase of classroom interactive touchscreen displays and Erie Catholic School System's middle school one-to-one Chromebook project. Donations in any amount designated for the Evangelization Endowment increase our capacity to award grants for creative and impactful life-long faith formation programs and projects throughout northwest Pennsylvania today and for future generations.
Education grants are made possible through the Education Endowment of the Catholic Foundation. Donations in any amount designated for the Education Endowment increase our capacity to award grants for impactful Catholic education needs throughout northwest Pennsylvania today and for future generations.
