Catholic Foundation Legacy Society members were honored at a recent gathering of donors, board members, staff, and friends of the Foundation. Guests were warmly welcomed by Marlene Mosco, board vice chair. Marlene also introduced the board members, most of which were in attendance, and, on their behalf, shared their commitment to the mission. “Together we all serve the Catholic Foundation, and you, the Foundation’s greatest supporters, with humility, due diligence, and faith. We have great enthusiasm for the opportunity the Foundation represents for the future of the Catholic community in northwest Pennsylvania, and we thank you for sharing in this mission.”

During the evening, fourteen new members were welcomed into the Legacy Society.

Catholic Foundation Legacy Society members are those who have committed to providing for the future of our shared Catholic community with an estate gift or by establishing an endowment fund. These faithful gifts from the heart will provide financial support to the Catholic ministries they love for generations. View full list of members.

Monsignor Edward Lohse offered a prayer and blessing for our donors and the Catholic Foundation.

The remainder of the evening included fellowship, music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. At the end of the evening, each guest went home with a special thank you gift which evoked a reminder of our common baptism and call to discipleship.

“In Baptism we have been filled with the light of Christ. May we walk always as children of the light and keep the flame of faith alive in our hearts. May we live each day knowing our true identity as beloved children of God. And when the Lord comes, may we go out to meet him with all the saints in the heavenly kingdom to live with him forever and ever.”
